VIVECA JOHNSON, MS, LPC-S, BC-TMH

CEO, Clinical Director
Viveca Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Board-Certified Telemental Health Therapist. She is passionate about equipping her clients with the tools and strategies needed to foster meaningful change and move forward toward a more fulfilling, holistic life. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Johnson has worked with diverse populations, providing individual, family, marriage, and group counseling.
An honor graduate of Millsaps College, Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology before obtaining a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. Her clinical expertise includes trauma and stress-related disorders, premarital and marital counseling, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and women’s issues. She also holds additional certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Telemental Health, and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Beyond her clinical work, Johnson is a dedicated community leader and mentor, guiding high school and college-age young women through mentorship, education, counseling, and community service. She is an active member of the American Counseling Association, Louisiana Counseling Association, Junior League of Baton Rouge, Leadership Baton Rouge, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Committed to strengthening marriages, Johnson and her husband founded When 2 Become 1, a marriage ministry that blends spiritual and practical principles to help couples build stronger, healthier relationships. She is also a sought-after speaker and consultant, presenting at conferences and institutions such as the Louisiana Counseling Association Conference, Tougaloo College, Louisiana State University, and the University of Mississippi. Her presentation topics include post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, chronic stress, healthy marriages, and discovering one’s purpose.
As the owner of Forward Moving Counseling Services, LLC, Johnson remains dedicated to helping individuals and families thrive. Outside of her professional and community work, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach with her family, and indulging in a good suspenseful TV series.

KADIJAH HOARD, MS, PLPC

Kadijah is a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southeastern University. As a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor, she is committed to providing a safe and empathetic space for clients to heal and grow.
With a person-centered approach, Kadijah creates a non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. She has experience working with both adults and adolescents, specializing in helping individuals navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, and sexual trauma. Kadijah’s goal is to empower each client to build resilience, find healing, and develop the tools needed to thrive in their lives.

BRITTANY BETTS, MS, PLPC

Brittany Betts is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor with a deep passion for guiding individuals through life’s challenges with warmth, empathy, and understanding. Her approach to therapy is client-centered, meeting each individual where they are and helping them build on their strengths to foster lasting change.
Betts earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Southern University A&M College. She is a member of both the American Counseling Association and the Louisiana Counseling Association and is committed to continuous learning to provide the most effective therapeutic approaches for her clients.
With a strong dedication to creating a safe and supportive space, Betts works with individuals facing anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth challenges. She understands that reaching out for help can be difficult and strives to make that first step as welcoming and empowering as possible.

MAYA HARVEY, MA, LPC

Maya Harvey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana, dedicated to guiding individuals toward personal growth and well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A&M College. Her practice is centered on fostering meaningful change and enhancing overall wellness.
Harvey has extensive experience working in diverse settings, including behavioral health inpatient and outpatient hospitals, community mental health, and with individuals and groups within the criminal justice system. She specializes in supporting clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, and depression, with a strong focus on innovative treatments, including advocacy for women facing substance use challenges. She has also contributed to discussions and training on topics such as crisis management, law enforcement, and relationship dynamics. This broad background allows her to connect with clients from all walks of life and tailor her approach to their unique needs.
Incorporating mindfulness techniques and a person-centered orientation, Harvey provides a flexible and individualized approach to therapy. She believes that private practice offers an ideal environment for healing and personal growth. Her use of symbolism and imagery in therapy helps clients deepen their self-awareness and gain insight into their inner experiences.

Intern
Ciera is currently a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southeastern Louisiana University. She believes in providing a safe and empathetic space for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings. Her areas of interest include working with young adults struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, and self-esteem issues. Through collaboration, she desires to assist clients with developing the tools they need to manage stress, build resilience, and create positive change so that they can overcome life’s challenges. Ciera is eager to continue learning from experienced professionals while contributing to the well-being of those she serves.
