Viveca Johnson

Viveca Johnson is a licensed professional counselor and a national certified counselor that is passionate about empowering each client with the tools and strategies to foster change and move forward in a more satisfying and holistic life. Johnson has been working in the field of mental health for nearly ten years. Johnson is an honor graduate of Millsaps College where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans. In her clinical experience, she has worked with diverse populations in providing individual, family, marriage, and group counseling. Johnson’s specializations are in PTSD/trauma, grief and loss, pre-marital and marital counseling, relationship issues, and career counseling. Johnson holds a certification in trauma focused-cognitive behavior therapy, telemental health, and in marriage and family therapy. Johnson is involved in the community by serving as a mentor to high school and college age young women empowering and supporting each participant through mentorship, education, counseling, and community service. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Louisiana Counseling Association, Junior League of Baton Rouge, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated to name a few. Johnson and her husband founded an online marriage ministry called “When 2 Become 1” where they share spiritual and natural components to help couples build healthier marriages. Johnson is sought after for consultation and presentations. Places that she has presented at include, but are not limited to, the Louisiana Counseling Association Conference, Tougaloo College, Vision Academy, and Louisiana State University. Some of her presentation topics include post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, chronic stress, obtaining a healthy marriage, and identifying your purpose. Johnson is the owner of Forward Moving Counseling Services, LLC and the co-owner of Progressing Forward Online Counseling and Consulting Services, LLC.  Johnson enjoys helping others identify and fulfill a purpose driven life where they can change their life for the better.

Dominique Johnson

Dominique received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling at Liberty University. Dominique is an individual who desires to partner with couples and aspiring couples as they journey through their unique avenues of love. She believes in providing a safe space for individual’s hearts to be heard and understood. Although difficulties are a reality, Dominique believes in the resilience of love. Through her training in Emotion-Focused Therapy, she has gained the skills necessary to assist couples in de-escalating and re-engaging back into their relationships. She is a trained administrator for both the Pre-pare/Enrich and Gottman couples reboot. In addition to relational counseling, Dominique also believes in assisting families in creating cohesion in the home. “Each member is affected by the other. What one person does or does not do affects the entire family unit. Each member must actively open themselves up to vulnerability, to being loved, to being told the truth, to being apart, to actually belonging. This is family.” Dominique is trained in Parenting with love and Logic which assist parents in a non-argumentative style of parenting that has proven to be affective throughout the years. Her age range of counseling is (5 years +) as Dominique is passionate about the health of the entire family unit. In addition to these areas of focus, Dominique has also assisted problematic youth with difficulties such as depression, explosive anger, anxiety, and severe life changes. Whatever the difficulty, Dominique believes that healing is much easier with someone by your side.

Angelle Smith

Angelle Smith is from Baton Rouge, LA, and she is currently an undergraduate student at Louisiana State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is also certified as a Registered Behavioral Technician working with children with autism. In the future, Angelle plans on attending graduate school and earning her Master’s degree so that she may further her career and provide counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults.
